Netherwood
Touring Park

A 15 pitch, secluded and quiet site, just a 45 minute canal walk from Chester City Centre

Netherwood logo small.png

A delightful and idyllic country site, set within the grounds of handsome Netherwood House and backing onto the Shropshire Union Canal. Visit Chester by walking along the towpath and take in the many pubs and eateries along the way, including the Cheshire Cat and Poplars, each only a few minutes on foot along the canal. This is the perfect location for both the city and the surrounding Cheshire countryside.

We offer a quiet but scenic, rural site within easy travelling distance to both the city and countryside. The site is only 2.5 miles from Chester yet it has a quiet, rural aspect. From Netherwood, you can easily walk to the two local villages of Christleton and Waverton or the Park and Ride for the city. There are some great visitor attractions a short drive away, too.

Numbers are never overcrowded - we have 15 electrical pitches plus a large recreational field. The site is surrounded by the shelter of neat trees, on well-mown grass. Our toilet and shower facilities are hosted in the old stable block of the house, with one shower and two WCs for each gender.

Our pitch pricing can include electric hook-up at an additional daily charge. Wifi is free to all guests. Children and pets are welcome.

The site is under new ownership for the 2024 season. We're delighted to take on this lovely place and plan to make many improvements over the next few years.

We're licensed to operate between March and October and will have a warden on site for the season.

Book your pitch now, our full terms and conditions can be seen here if you want to check them out.

We hopefully look forward to seeing you soon.

Great little campsite. Basic, with two showers and toilets, but clean and tidy. Walking distance to Chester down the canal. Beautiful site.

We have stayed a few times here, but this time instead of the caravan we used a tent. Its such a lovely site. We had a lovely weekend. The weather was amazing and we had a nice walk along the canal to the Cheshire Cat Pub/Restaurant.

A rustic camp site with all the nessasary facilities, superb location for Chester, was told a 50min walk along the canal into Chester, took us 75mins, unless you have a sweat band and a pair of fast slippers.
Bus to Chester in a nearby village. Pubs within walking distance.
